Starting April 1st, on the occasion of the flowering of the most important Italian wisteria collection, a unique laboratory visit will allow you to discover this flower among the symbols of our Gardens.
To mark the twentieth anniversary of the rescue of the Villa della Pergola Gardens, we present a unique and educational experience in the heart of one of the most fascinating gardens in the European botanical landscape. This is a rare opportunity to discover one of the iconic flowers of the Villa della Pergola Gardens up close.
Along with the guided tours, this year you can also choose the "Wisteria Masterclass Experience."
Starting April 1st, an exclusive experience dedicated to one of the most fascinating protagonists and symbols of our Garden: the wisteria.
The Masterclass will be an in-depth guided tour lasting approximately two hours, designed to explore the Garden and discover the largest wisteria collection in Italy alongside the Garden Coordinator.
Among pergolas, terraces, and panoramic views of the Alassio sea, wisteria will envelop you with its hanging flowers and unparalleled colors, while the path will lead you to discover hidden corners of the garden.
The visit will culminate in the Garden Museum, with a dedicated exhibit: here, you can immerse yourself in an exclusive botanical and cultural narrative, explore care and maintenance techniques, and learn about the cultural significance of Villa della Pergola's wisteria collection.
From April 1st to May 3rd, every day at 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

"Agapanthus Experience. A masterclass between botany and beauty”
On the occasion of the flowering of the most important collection of Agapanthus in Europe, the Gardens of Villa della Pergola inaugurate the “Agapanthus Experience. A masterclass between botany and beauty”, an immersive experience that will accompany the guided tours.
For the entire month of July the Gardens of Villa della Pergola, in addition to the popular guided tours to discover the Park with a focus on the collection, offer an even more immersive experience: the Agapanthus Experience. An opportunity to live an educational and unique experience, in the heart of one of the most fascinating gardens in the European botanical panorama, a rare opportunity to discover up close one of the symbolic flowers of the Gardens of Villa della Pergola.
The guided tour will lead participants to discover the areas of the garden in which the Agapanthus is the protagonist: an opportunity to observe up close some of the over 500 varieties of the most important collection in Europe, and understand their characteristics, shape and seasonality.
The team of the Gardens of Villa della Pergola will then conduct the Masterclass in a dedicated space in the historic Chapel of the Madonna del Buon Vento, adjacent to the Garden, a cozy and evocative environment. During the masterclass, the parts of the plant will be explored, curiosities and stories will be told, and participants will attend a practical demonstration of cutting the rhizome for its multiplication, useful for understanding the correct methods of propagation and care of this fascinating plant.
We organize educational activities and experiences for children and students.
Based on a project by Nadia Nicoletti, expert in horticultural education, our workshops come to life as an informational space, as well as an educational and experimental place. Our purpose is to raise awareness on nature beauty, on environment protection and on plants care, through the right knowledge and sustainable gardening practices.
During the workshops, the attendees will find out more and more closely the secretsof the flora that distinguishes our Gardens.
