On the occasion of the flowering of the most important collection of Agapanthus in Europe, the Gardens of Villa della Pergola inaugurate the “Agapanthus Experience. A masterclass between botany and beauty”, an immersive experience that will accompany the guided tours.
From Thursday 3 July, for the entire month, the Gardens of Villa della Pergola, in addition to the popular guided tours to discover the Park with a focus on the collection, offer an even more immersive experience: the Agapanthus Experience.
An opportunity to live an educational and unique experience, in the heart of one of the most fascinating gardens in the European botanical panorama, a rare opportunity to discover up close one of the symbolic flowers of the Gardens of Villa della Pergola.
The guided tour will lead participants to discover the areas of the garden in which the Agapanthus is the protagonist: an opportunity to observe up close some of the over 500 varieties of the most important collection in Europe, and understand their characteristics, shape and seasonality.
The team of the Gardens of Villa della Pergola will then conduct the Masterclass in a dedicated space in the historic Chapel of the Madonna del Buon Vento, adjacent to the Garden, a cozy and evocative environment. During the masterclass, the parts of the plant will be explored, curiosities and stories will be told, and participants will attend a practical demonstration of cutting the rhizome for its multiplication, useful for understanding the correct methods of propagation and care of this fascinating plant.
The Masterclasses will be held from Thursday to Monday, with two daily appointments at 11.30 am and 3.00 pm.
