On Thursday 18 January, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy, the presentation of the volume “Englishmen in Liguria – Castles, Villas, Gardens, Stories” by Alessandro Bartoli and Francesca Centurione Scotto Boschieri, published by SAGEP.
The volume, edited by Alessandro Bartoli and Francesca Centurione Scotto Boschieri with the participation of scholars and researchers, aims to raise awareness, in Italy and abroad, of the incredible heritage of parks and residences created by illustrious and important English personalities who on horseback between the second half of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century they chose Liguria and the Riviera di Ponente as a winter holiday destination, creating magnificent exotic gardens and spectacular villas with unusual architecture, today an invaluable heritage. Like Villa della Pergola and its Gardens.
First event of the 2024 Season of OdP TRIF (Observatory of the Cross-border Country of the Italian-French Riviera Rio Termini – Var River), after the greetings of H.E.
