On Sunday 27 April, in the evocative setting of the Oratorio San Carlo in Albenga, as part of the "Albenga Flower Cooking Festival", the Gardens of Villa della Pergola were the protagonists of an interesting meeting.
Alessandra Ricci, introduced by Claudio Porchia, presented the Gardens, told their history, their recovery and their collections, in particular the Wisteria collection, the most important in Italy which in this period has enchanted visitors with its spectacular flowering of over 40 different varieties.
The meeting took place in an important year for Villa della Pergola and for the Gardens: this year Villa della Pergola turns 150 and the new, prestigious recognition is from 2025, that is, the entry into the Partner Garden of the Royal Horticultural Society, the most famous botanical society in the world, whose patron is King Charles III.
At the end of the meeting dedicated to the Gardens, a convivial moment: an aperitif prepared by barlady Ottavia Castellaro made with the edible flowers present in the villa, including the Wisteria.
