On Friday, September 26, in Alassio, the "Eccellenza Donna" award ceremony, in honour of Silvia Arnaud Ricci was held in the auditorium of the Renzo Deaglio Civic Library, attended by authorities and citizens.
The award is promoted by Fidapa BPW Italy – North West District, Alassio Section, chaired by President Cinzia Salerno, Teacher and Equal Opportunities Councilor of the Municipality of Alassio, with the patronage of the Volunteering Department of the Municipality of Alassio.
The event opened with institutional greetings from the mayor of Alassio, Marco Melgrati, and from regional and municipal councilor Rocco Invernizzi, who also brought greetings from regional councilor Simona Ferro.
The jury strongly desired to award Dr. Silvia Arnaud Ricci this recognition for the great work she has done, together with her family, in the restoration and care of the Gardens of Villa della Pergola, considered a historical and landscape treasure of inestimable value.
During the event, Silvia Arnaud retraced the extraordinary adventure of restoring and enhancing Villa della Pergola and its Gardens, internationally recognized as a partner garden of the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society, whose Patron is King Charles of England, and named "Italy's Most Beautiful Park" in 2022.
